Free Laptops for Families across England

Cartridge World, the UK’s market leading retailer of refilled and remanufactured printer cartridges, is to work in partnership with IT experts, Positive IT Solutions to provide free laptops and/or internet connections to eligible disadvantaged families in England as part of the recently announced Government-backed Home Access programme.

Cartridge World stores throughout England are supporting the initiative. The programme, which is being rolled out nationally, provides a compact  ‘netbook’ or  laptop, a year’s free internet access, a year’s service and support to Home Access Grant holders, allowing them to get online at home.

In the first instance, applicants should contact the Home Access Helpline on 0333200 1004 – successful grant applications can then be redeemed at Cartridge World stores throughout England. The grant must be used within three months of issue. Successful applicants will receive a notification of their entitlement, payment card and a PIN number, which can be used to buy the Home Access package from their nearest Cartridge World store.

Commenting on the partnership, Mark Holland, UK General Manager for Cartridge World, said: “We are delighted to be working with Positive IT Solutions in offering an excellent  top end package for Home Access Grant holders in England. Access to the internet - both for social purposes and for education - will make a real difference to disadvantaged families.

Cartridge World is the market-leading retailer of refilled and remanufactured printer cartridges and has almost 250 stores in the UK.
